YouTube: Snow Flower The Pet Cow - How to live long term in a UFO
| YouTube: Snow Flower The Pet Cow A stray calf turned out to be the most amazing Christmas gift (from the universe) of my life. I had never been around large animals before and it has been an incredible experience. Because Snow Flower is black and white, I quickly identified her as my Zen master. The name Snow Flower came from my book group: we were reading Snow Flower and the Secret Fan at the time - a story about life-long friendship. Snow Flower showed me that she loves to play chase (she runs after me and then wants me to chase her), and she also likes to play with plastic garbage cans. When she lived with me, she was like my biggest dog - mooing at me and looking in the kitchen window while I made my morning coffee, eager for me to get outside and give her morning oats. If I didn't get outside quickly enough for her, she would threaten to eat my flowers, which she knew she was not supposed to do. Because of the CC&R's where I live and someone reporting me for keeping a cow on my land, I had to find another home for her. It has worked out really well for Snow Flower and she has led my life in positive directions, meeting lots of people and learning about things that I got to experience because of her. Thanks to Al the cow man for providing a long-term home for Snow Flower within his herd of pet cows. |
