| 1/3-2001 Space Odyssey and Moon Landing Footage - Front Screen Projection Presen A presentation I did in class teaching about a film technique called Front Screen Projection; how it was used in Kubricks 2001 A SpaceOdyssey, and how it was theoretically used in the Nasa Moon Landing ootage. A very successful, educational, and thought provoking presentation overall. The assignment was to breakdown 2 examples of special effects used in film. Naturally, I wanted to make my presentation a little bit different than everyone else; using mine as an opportunity to promote critical thinking and provide the tools to do so. My presentation done in class on Monday Dec 7th is about Front Screen Projection; a film technique used in Kubrick's 2001 Space Odyssey as well as the Nasa Moon Landing Footage, theoretically. I first introduce the topic of Front Screen Projection to educate my class on what it is and how to develop a critical eye to recognize it, and then switch gears and tell them to look for the same evidence in the Moon Landing footage, and encourage them to think about it for themselves.
