You'll definitely want to collect the three green UFOs the first fairies provide you with. The yin-yang orbs that attack you afterwards are a tough bunch - use the UFO to your advantage. Take the orbs out as they spawn, then destroy the UFO when they overwhelm you. Afterwards, don't be reckless. The fairies attack in an extremely simple pattern, milk out as much of what you want as you can, be it point or extra lives. Keep in mind that this will be your last shot at getting an extra life. If you know that you can't get an entire life before the final battle, you might want to try and get a bomb instead. Right before the final boss, we face the orb of light from stage 4 again, attacking with a pattern similiar to the one from before, but at higher speeds. Both victory and defeat earn you power items. Now then, we finally face my favourite character, Byakuren. I'm in a rather tight spot here given my lack of lives and bombs. I felt prepared, but messed up right at the start. When dodging the large bullets, try to go for the empty side. The first spellcard is fairly brutal, keeping track of all bullets is quite the task to accomplish.
